FAQ

How long does the assessment or physiotherapy treatment take?

Your assessment and/or treatment is approximately one hour long.

What should I wear to physiotherapy?

You should wear comfortable clothes that are accessible for assessment and treatment of the injured area.

How many physiotherapy visits will I need to feel better?

Once your injury is assessed, the physiotherapist will be able to give you a better idea of how long the duration of physiotherapy will be.

Does my insurance plan cover my physiotherapy?

Unfortunately, due to the privacy act, we cannot access that information. It is best for you to contact your insurance company prior to calling our office to book your assessment appointment and find out if you are covered.

Can you direct bill to my insurance company for physiotherapy?

This is determined by your specific insurance plan. Keep in mind that insurance companies have varying coverage levels from plan to plan. Due to the privacy act, we cannot access that information, so it is best for you to contact your insurance provider to find out if that is allowed on your policy.

If I have no insurance coverage or if direct billing is not allowed by my insurance plan, what methods of payment do you have available in your office?

Your accounts can be paid by cash, cheque, Visa, MasterCard or debit.

Does your office require a doctor’s prescription to attend physiotherapy?

We do not require a doctor’s prescription, but your extended health plan might require one for coverage. If you have an extended health plan, it is best to contact your insurance company for this information.
