Statement of Philosophy

Physical therapy requires the responsibility to ensure that treatments are strongly founded in research and that patient concerns are thoroughly addressed. I practice with an evidence-based approach to ensure that I afford my patients quality care. As a physical therapist, I strive to contribute a quality of care that further promotes the true effectiveness of physical therapy treatment interventions. I accept the challenge to grow and improve as a member of the profession.

I have been practicing Physiotherapy since 2005. I am a graduate from the State University of New York at Buffalo with Doctor of Physical Therapy. I also have an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Lakehead University in Canada, with a minor in Biomechanics. I am a licensed Physical Therapist in both Ontario and in the state of New York and I hold Status Appointment Lecturer at the University of Toronto. I have been certified by the American Board of Forensic Professionals for Catastrophic Impairment Rating and by ARCON for Functional Abilities Evaluations.

I have experience in Canadian Physiotherapy Association Manual Therapy, Mulligan, and McKenzie evaluation techniques with Gary Gray therapeutic exercise. I have completed extensive research in vestibular diagnosis and rehabilitation. My publications can be reviewed from the journals identified in the description and links below. I am also a strong advocate of evidence-based practice and continuing education. I specialize in the assessment and multidiciplinary treatment of post-operative orthopaedics, as well as traumatic orthopaedic and neurological injury for all age groups. I am also responsible for consultations including Independent Medical Evaluations, Functional Ability Evaluations, Jobsite Analysis, and Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation.
