Tom Iftody B.A., B.Sc. P.T., MCPA—Owner/Physiotherapist
Tom is a native to the region, being born and raised in St. Catharines. After graduating high school he attended the University of Western Ontario, completing his B.A. in Physical Education in 1982. Tom then pursued his B.Sc. in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto, graduating in 1985. After a short time at Greater Niagara General Hospital, Tom opened Martindale Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic in 1989. He has been operating the clinic ever since, providing quality physiotherapy and ancillary services. Tom has always had a special interest in sports injuries and has treated many professional and amateur athletes over the years. Vonya Stathourakis B.Kin—Kinesiologist
Vonya was born and raised in Ottawa. Growing up, she always had a special interest in all athletics, specifically accelerating in soccer and volleyball, both interscholastically and at the elite club level. These special interests led Vonya to pursue a degree in Kinesiology from Brock University in 2002. Vonya has been a Kinesiologist with Martindale Physiotherapy since 2002. During her time in St. Catharines, she used her educational knowledge and experience to coach the St. Catharines Jets Girls soccer team and Niagara Rapids Girls volleyball team for a number of years. Vonya has also attained a variety of certifications, including Low Intensity Laser Therapy certification, Post Rehab Exercise, Level III NCCP Soccer, Level II NCCP Volleyball, and sports taping. Her special interests include sports, outdoors, family and travel.
John Mulligan, RMT/CLT-LANA
John Mulligan is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), trained in both the US and Ontario. He earned his lymphedema certification at the Lerner Lymphedema Academy in 1998. John has also been certified by the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) since 2001. In addition to his private practice he is also co-founder and Clinical Specialist at Lymphedema Depot, Ltd. He serves on the Education Working Group of the Canadian Lymphedema Framework. In addition to his hands-on work John has been actively engaged with the lymphedema community through teaching, writing, presenting at conferences and hosting networking events with other lymphedema therapists. John has also studied at the Földi Clinic in Hinterzarten Germany for their weeklong seminar presented in English to therapists from all over the world.
Lisa Lindsay, RMT
Lisa Lindsay moved to St Catharines in 1984 to attend Brock University, and has been here ever since. Lisa graduated with a Bachelor degree in Sociology from Brock University in 1987. After a break, she returned to school in 1993, to pursue a massage therapy career. Lisa attended D’Arcy Lane Institute in London, Ontario and obtained my Registered Massage Therapy licence in 1995 from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. In the past, she has collaborated with several Chiropractors in the area. Currently, Lisa is providing massage therapy services within Martindale Physiotherapy, and has been since 2005. She also has another location in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Lisa values her continuing education which has helped her become a more affective massage therapist. Lisa’s continuing education includes graduate level courses of Anatomy, myofascial release techniques, rotator cuff and scapular release techniques, deep tissue techniques and hot stone therapy.
Catherine Rose-Loveless, RD
Catherine is an experienced Registered Dietitian that provides nutrition education and lifestyle counseling to optimize health & wellness.
Catherine uses her experience and knowledge of nutrition, psychology and Yoga principles to provide Wellness Coaching that is based both on science and holistic approaches to achieve optimal health.
Sharon Holder—Office Administrator
Sharon has been with Martindale Physiotherapy since 2006. Sharon has worked in office environments throughout her career. She enjoys her daily interactions with patients; she loves people. She is a very detail-oriented person who enjoys her position at Martindale Physiotherapy thoroughly. Her special interests include cruise travel, church, family and outdoor activities.
